Colour is everywhere, but just like everything else, they can come in and go out of style. Let’s take a look at what’s been popular so far in 2019.
First, let’s talk about the Pantone colour of the Year for 2019, Living Coral. According to Pantone, Living Coral is animated and life-affirming, while it energizes and enlivens with a softer edge. If you feel like you’ve been seeing this colour everywhere this year, there’s good reason. While Pantone isn’t exactly a household name, they are a big deal in the world of design and colour. It’s very much “What they say goes” as was the case with “millennial pink” which was directly influenced by the 2016 Pantone Colour of the Year “Rose Quartz”.

Keeping with the theme of bright colours, research done by Shutterstock shows that Lime Green is currently the most commonly searched for colour in the USA. This may not appeal to you for your windows and doors, but could definitely be included as accent colours inside your home.
As is the case, history is repeating and we’re seeing a resurgence in earth tones this year. Taupes, leafy greens, ocean blues, and oats are all colours that are being included and are expected to be included in design over the next year.
As you can see, bright colours, and earthy tones are trendy this year, and can help your home with the palette of colour that appeals to you and your family!
